This 1970 Porsche 911E is a longhood coupe that was reportedly modified at some point and was returned to a more stock configuration by a long-term owner, who documented refurbishment and refinishing work. Finished in Red over Black vinyl and powered by a 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed 901 manual transaxle, the car is equipped with Koni dampers, adjustable sway bars and rear spring plates, 15? Fuchs wheels, and Carrera oil-fed timing-chain tensioners. The current owner purchased the car in 2022 and has since added approximately 2k miles. This longhood 911E is now offered on consignment by Mohr Imports, a BaT Local Partner, with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Red and features aluminum bumpers and engine lid, sugar-scoop headlight bezels, anodized gold rear badging, vent windows, and a driver-side mirror. A repaint was performed in 1984. The front bumper and rear decklid were previously replaced when the car was fitted with a larger aftermarket front bumper and whale-tail spoiler. Between approximately 2015 and 2018, the exterior was returned to a more factory configuration with a correct-style rear decklid, front bumper, trim, grille, emblem, and 911E lettering.
The rear bumper and lamps were repaired and refinished in November 2021. The exterior shows paint chips and speckling, along with blemishes on the driver’s-side mirror and wear to the surrounding trim. Cracking is also noted in various weatherstripping and seals.
The car rides on 15? Fuchs alloy wheels mounted with Hankook Ventus V2 tires. The suspension has been fitted with Koni adjustable Street/Sport shocks, adjustable sway bars, adjustable rear spring plates, and polyurethane bushings. The ride height was lowered, followed by alignment and corner balancing. The rear brakes were overhauled in 2019.
The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl, and records note it was previously fitted with a black Recaro-style cloth seat. The supplied records also document replacement of the dash trim cover and seat belts, while pedal pads were replaced in August 2025. The interior shows wear, including door-panel separation at the armrests, scraping and cracking of the plastic door panels, and a panel that is coming loose on the passenger side.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. A previous owner replaced the odometer when it failed with ~40k indicated miles. The replacement five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.2-liter flat-six is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 155 horsepower and 141 lb-ft of torque. Documented mechanical work includes an engine and transmission removal for oil-leak resealing, replacement of seals and gaskets, valve adjustment, a front crankshaft seal, motor mounts, valve-cover gaskets, and a battery. The clutch assembly and related components were also replaced during this work. Carrera oil-fed timing-chain tensioners are fitted, and around 2018 Turbo-style valve covers were installed with replacement gaskets and washers.
Additional service includes replacement of the fuel pump in April 2021, installation of two Porsche batteries and battery cables and ground straps in June/July 2021, and engine-oil and filter service under current ownership. The hand throttle was adjusted and oil leaks were checked in August 2025.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through the five-speed 901 manual transaxle fitted with shorter gearing. The gearbox was removed with the engine during the documented mechanical work, at which time the clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, axle shaft, and CV boots were serviced or replaced. The records also document replacement of the clutch components in 2014, and shifter bushings were replaced in August 2025.
The supplied handwritten records document much of the car’s subsequent maintenance and refurbishment. Original equipment accompanying the car includes the Porsche jack, tire wrench, and owner’s manual; no tool kit is included.
